Will 8.5 wide rims fit my car? F20

My rims are 7.5 front and rear. Would 8.5s fit my car? I'm sure I've seen these rims on the m sport range of the f20? They're both 17s. Sorry, I'm new to this so bear with me.

Here's a link to the dimensions of my current wheels. http://www.vipalloywheels.co.uk/bmw...97/17-inch-bmw-f20-f21-style-381-alloy-wheels

I can't seem to find similar info about the ones I want. But here's a pic. I believe they're originally from the E90 sport pack? From my research, they appear to be 8, or 8.5 wide.

Also, slightly off topic, what's the deal with motorplan and fitting second hand rims, even though they are original BMW rims?

I haven't confirmed offsets for the set of wheels you'd like( i'd guess et38), but e90 3er wheels have a lower offset than the f20, thus causing the wheel to stick out, or rub, as it'll be about 175mm further out than your current wheel.
I wouldn't.

175mm is completely wrong, F20 wheels in 17" are 7,5JX17 ET:43 8JX17 ET:53

The style you are considering are style 194M and they are 17x8j ET34 and 17x8.5j ET37, they are the cheapest 17" wheel BMW sell at R1300 and R1500 each.

There must be a specific set made for the F20 then. I've seen these around. I like 'em? You don't rate them?

I was calculating from the link provided, which states,
front 7,5J x 17 ET43 und rear 7,5J x 17 ET43

Correct me if I'm incorrect-the way I've calculated is:
et43-et37=6mm outwards
8.5j-7.5j=25mm/2=12mm
12+6=18mm

Is that correct?
