Personally i don't have a problem with the 325 ti. Its the 318 ti that sucks bricks. My old one anyway.

What's wrong with the 318ti?

Specs seem ok for a 2 litre. 105kw?

I like the ti's personally.

Mine had endless starting issues, and the performance was crappy.

Well now I dont feel out, I like them too so I will prob try and get hold of one sometime in the future...:)

I am actually thinking of buying a 318Ti, I like the look, it should be more less fuel hungry and cheaper than a 325Ti... Power not bad...

I was sold on a 325ti this weekend, made a few offers on cars in Joburg, but I'm unfortunately in Bloem, so trying to organize that my brother go check them out was starting to become a bloody nightmare.

I got into a 318ti on Saturday just to get a feel of the car, was very basic interior, neat car, got out & climbed into a E46 325i right next to it & started that puppy up. DAMN, that was a sound I could get used to any day of the week. Lovely car, unfortunately had way too much km's on for my liking.

I got a deal of a lifetime on an audi & decided & could'nt let it go. So I bought my first car (with my own money :) ) will hopefully get her on Friday.

I've owned a 2003 E46 318ti Young Line before and was very happy with it.
Awesome consumption, good looks and great daily drive in traffic.

Just wish I could find a 325ti M Sport model, like rocking horse s........

The 318 wont nesesarily be less fuel hungry than the 325. I have not had experience with the Ti but with E46 318i's we have 2 and my dad borrowed a 325i touring the other day and that got much better in town consumption than the 318i's. It has a bigger engine so has to work less to pull the heavy body around. But if driven flat out the 325 eats more. but put the 318i on the open road and it sips very slowly at the petrol

HAHA Bloemfonteiners on forums are far & few between.

I'm finishing my studies this year & starting @ Coetzee Smit auditors next year, don't have a car atm. My heart was set on a 325ti, but one of the co-workers of my future father in law had a 2005 Audi A3 2.0fsi with balance of motorplan till March next year with 75k on the clock. The car is in an immaculate condition, all the bells & whistles. The car looks brand new & I fell in love the moment got into her.

The day will come that I'll drive a BMW, can't wait for my straight six in my garage :)

i rate the ti's are pretty decent cars, nothing wrong with them except for those polka dot bug eyed headlights... other than that, the 325ti = great car!

When you say "i see ur also from bloem" does that include you?

If so , I'd LOVE to take a drive with you in that M5, that would also be the very first time I've climbed into any M :)

I can only imagine the consumption of that monster.
