thats isn't far off the option I was given

their offer was they pay me R32K and then I can keep the car and do with it (repairs) as I wish....so my maths says that the "buy back" value would have been R26K

R14 K from Discovery insure (the guilty parties insurance)
R11 K from Liquid bodies (straigtening/pulling bumper, cosmetics, paint, headlight)

but market values for a 2000 E38 aren't much more than the R55K region anyway, unless it is something truly special, mine was just plain standard and clean, with minor issues

That's why you use an UBER if there's really an emergency. A service like this negate's the need for any additional car and all its associated expenses for those unforeseen circumstances in my opinion
