Why are x pipes/ down pipes so expensive

why does it need to be mandrel bent surely it would be ok to use off the shelf bends (45° or 90°) and cut them to suit. Yes its more labor intensive (more welding) but you get rid of that expensive bending machines labor cost.

So yeah I also agree people want to rip us off :thumbdo: not cool

having lots of welds does not flow as well as a single bent pipe because the welds penetrate into the pipe can create an uneven surface... in the long run getting the correct tooling is cheaper and better...
