Why are some SA drivers so inconsiderate

Guys,Ive driven in SA quite alot and have found the following:
Dual lane into a single - The guy next to has to be in front
Indicating and politely asking for a gap - No chance
Tailgating - The guy behind you is almost in your back seat.
Oh, and I have to ask because I may have missed something.
Are you now allowed to straddle over your lane if youre still at a red light interstection. Aas long as there is no traffic coming in from the other side?:roflol:
Theres no patients and no courtesy - Everyones in such a hurry all the time.No wonder ,there are so many fatalateeeeees

You forgot another factor.....
Guy/woman gets on highway, moves to extreme right lane and cruises at 80km/h altho there is no traffic in front of him/her and you can attach a LIGHT HOUSE behind the person and they still wont see you.

i nearly got knocked a few times this weekend and not one of them was my fault, honestly

plus the thing that pissed me off the most was i had my son with me and should i have gotten knocked with him in the car, the next person should definitely make sure the run for there life cause i would make you vrek:argh:

the other thing is people know they in the wrong but not once would they apologize or just a sort of indication of 'hey dude i know what i did was wrong, sorry' but NO why must they i admit i aint the perfect driver but if im wrong im wrong and i will apologise for it its the descent thing to do for fcuk sake man - were you then not taught manners

and i love the way they play the ignore game

i promise you guys i was so pissed this weekend that if i had a gun there would of been a few people dead, just typing this makes me agro again

people need to wake up and get out of auto pilot mode we all need to get somewhere but for fcuk sake do it safely and dont endanger of road uses lives this is just not on!!!!!!!!

anyways rant over...woohsaaaaah:rollsmile::thumbs:

Also hate when people dont drive in the correct lane, i mean if you want to drive 80km/h get your asss of the fast lane, what makes things worse is when all the lanes are occupied and everyone is driving slow :argh: this is the major cause of traffic.

Do SA drivers get pulled up for dangerous driving ? Eg weaving through traffic

I wish they could bring in a minimum speed limit on the highways per lane. Would make the roads a much funner place, and safer

No, speeding is the only traffic offence that gets fined......why? because it is cheaper to have someone sit under a bridge and snap pics of guys speeding that it is to have a guy in a car patrolling and looking for other offences such as guys skipping red lights etc.

A few months back I was driving into the city (Cape Town) on the N2 and we hit morning traffic when suddenly a taxi stops dead in the far right (bus) lane to let off one passenger.

I've also seen a few times now people making U-turns on the N2 or N1. If I miss my turn I just keep going until the next turn of and then actually turn off and find a place to run around and then just come back.

I think patients is one of the most important things you should have when driving. Rather get there late, but in one piece than never getting there at all. I avoided loads of accidents simply because I was driving patiently and was focusing what the other idio... I mean people were doing.

just by seeing the response on here, I see people on here are just too agro to drive... best way is to do is defensive driving, anticipated what is going to happen and just try to avoid it, even tho you know they are in the wrong, just let it be:=):

Although the one thing that kinda grinds my gears, is running late for an appointment and stopping at EVERY. SINGLE. TRAFFIC light on the way
