You think they would take better pics for a R10.5million car advert...When were these pics taken? 1995?

I see it has a cold air induction kit from autostyle, wonder what other horrors one may find if they were to dig a little deeper. Doesn't look in a great condition from the crappy pics given.

Not to hijack the thread but if you have R5,8m lying around you can buy an 800m2 house in Chanteclair Hermanus with views that money cannot buy. At least one will be able to have a good nights rest in it!

Dude that's an M Performance kit... didn't you see the badge?

That’s a lot of bank for that car. They should have involved someone like Crossley and Webb to help with the photo shoot and positioning of the ad. Current pics don’t really give a sense of occasion.

Never understood the old car thing. Old tech that is easily beaten by a modern hatch. But hey, I have to respect the guys who like the old stuff.

Even if I had the money for it, there are plenty of other things worth buying before dropping that much money for something like this...

It is worth many millions yes... genuine rarity... first M etc... but IMHO not 10.5M. It is obviously priced for an overseas buyer (almost $750K). I would say they won't even get a US buyer at that price and condition (based on the pics).

As I said in other threads, South African 'Big boys' are not even the target for some of these cars as (just like our skills) they are finding their values outside the country at a more rapid pace than we might have previously realised - Just as the vintage cars are all either gone or sitting with those who will never sell them, leaving junk remaining for sale, so too it has begun with more 'modern' classics from 80s, 90s and 2000s cars like the Z3 and Z4Ms, M3/4/5, x55, x63 and x65s. The almost suspicious lack of good examples for sale is only partially driven by people hanging on to them. My dad knows many people in expat circles in Aus and there are many many nice cars coming in containers to Australia (the UK and NZ as well).

It won't be surprising if this leaves at a heavy discount (like R7M) to the USA...

I hope it leaves SA, then it can get the treatment at the highest standard.
