Who has an aftermarket LSD installed?

Firi, those pics of the LSD make me want it even more now. No idea on how it actually makes the car feel different but it looks so pretty.

Is your diff bolted or welded? Surely the job shouldn't be too difficult if bolted version and if you have the tools?

You lucky then , its will be easy to change your's ... can even DIY.. but need to make sure you dial it in correctly 10's of a thousand mm to set the backlash and check that it is Meshing correctly....

Also i dont see any bearings on the Mfactory LS Unit, does it come with the Bearings and outer race's?

Stripping a diff is easy with the tools (SHOP PRESS IS NEEDED) , took me less than 1 hour on the Z4M coupe diff...

The intricate work is making sure its dialed in properly and meshing the Pinion and Ring gear correctly... If its not right, it will start chowing at the Ring gear and Pinion which will mean you having to buy a new diff shortly after this whole exercise.

And just like that I would have wasted a pretty good LSD.

There's a few thread about the LSD already. Twinz is running one for a good few years, and he raves about it. We have a few other members who did installs in this last quatwe.

Mines is sitting in the garage for 4 months, just no time to get it done.

Where would you choose to get the installation done bro? Or are you going to DIY?
