Who else are just keeping their e36's?

Know exactly how you guys feel. My head is telling me to sell my E36 - tiny bit heavy on petrol, 2nd gear synchro may be a tad bit worn, there's a small rattle that I can faintly hear sometimes and there's those annoying door dents and the fact that it would be much more practical to sell and buy a Caddy/Corsa/Rustler bakkie to transport my bike to the track and back but I just can't bring myself to sell it. One day I want to then the next day I don't. Constantly fighting with myself. Don't know what to do :blueCry:

When I first got my car all was great until problems started popping up like very expensive maintenance work done at Bmw, rattles, low suspension, hard ride, hard seats, small boot, door lock actuators not working, turbo cars kicking my azz, etc...

All those things above made me think about selling but never did, because everytime I start that M52 motor and take a long drive on the freeway, all is forgotten. Infact I started enjoying my car even more since its been to Gizmo and every visit there after.

Then there were guys like Rick540, Raybimmer, LPM320, Reagz and many others who when I first joined the forum was always there to give proper advice, because of them I learnt a lot more about my car and appreciate it for what it is.

Ver328i. I haven't owned one, but know the feeling. All I can say from my experience that feeling doesn't go away to own something else, especially if you are easily bored. If you do sell it you will most probably regret it for months to come due to a sentimental attachment. So if you can keep her for now and buy something extra it might change your mind and let her go. I can honestly say I regret selling my e46. The comes a time where a car turns more into a money pit than enjoyment, and that's when you sell it.

My 2c would be..if you have a decent condition E36.. Keep it.. To find one again in a few years will prob be impossible.. So perhaps consider parking it, fixing it up, and keep it :coolShake: Then get another daily to drive about in, if that is possible.
