Which Mini models are most reliable?

Hi I am in the market for a car for my wife. I would consider a Mini. Are there any models which are particularly reliable or unreliable? I see that the new Minis span 3 generations, and some have BMW engines, some turbo, some NA and some super charged. We not necessarily looking a a performance car, just something reliable and affordable to maintain, with a bit of cool. The budget is around R115000

PS- the wife's current car is a Datsun Go which is being sold

I would look at the Mini Cooper non S, R56 shape.

Try and get a high specced one ie. xenons, harmon kardon, etc. to make up for the lack of turbo

If you're after reliability, stay away from the early CVT gearboxes, they were highly prone to failure and are costly to replace.
