Like Jeff said above, there is always someone faster no matter what car you buy!!!
Buy it for your own driving pleasure and forget the rest..
All BMW's are drivers cars, with the ///M cars having much more of a race car feel.

Personally i would not buy a bmw without motorplan unless i could afford xxx amount of cash to spend on maintenance.

an 08/09 x35i will cost abt R200 - R300k, will have MP peace of mind. tons of tuning potential, decent fuel econ, and is a great drivers car..

M5 V10 is just EPIC..... but i recon u need $$$ to maintain out of MP
E39 M5... out of MP but a classic V8!!!
E90/2/3 M3 V8.... early model 07/08 might cost you R400k - R500k with a bit of MP....

I know even the E36 M3`s maintenance can get a bit hairy at times hehe but I knew what I signed up for. that said I would prefer a car with mplan.

Would love to go test drive an x35 and 330d the only crap these days is in CT you cant just go test drive a car any more you need to apply first and give all your details its crap if you still deciding. Will need to make a plan. Any idea what the JB4 software and tuning costs?

Use to be so easy just get the M car that you can afford?
Now its complicated.

They'll only ask you that if you're going finance, and it all depends on the dealer. When I went to test drive the M5 they where hesitant to get me behind the wheel. They knew I was financing the car and after a bit of debate they let me. Depends on the dealers I guess.

Almost guarenteed, you can walk into SMG at Canal Walk, chat to a decent sales man and line up a few cars to go have a spin in. Just make it clear that you are interested in buying but want to weigh up the options.

Lemme know if and when you wanna go look. We'll take a drive around CPT in my M5 and just say it's yours so they know you serious about getting a car. Wear a suite and we sorted :joy:

My knowledge around anything other than E36 and E39 is actually pretty bad, but I've heard really good things about the 135's. They're definitely not slow, I can give you that much.

All depends on what you want in the car to be entirely honest. I wouldn't think twice about getting another M5, I'm very addicted to V8's. They way the pull, the torque and the amazing sound - especially the aftermarket zorsts.

A car in MP, 335i. Charles car is amazing!

I know its silly and not mature
But I wont like that very much.

...............................................

Im sure I will run into some some modded GTI`s soon would like to see how quick they are on the streets I heard scary stories lol.
hopefully there are lots of bends :)

All I know is my macky said something to the effect "chipped x35`s those things are pigs, you cant come with this!" referring to my M3, needless to say I didn't like that very much hehe. This was in response to me asking what a x35i with software was like.

I apologise if I upset the E46 M3 owners, I am basing that on the fact that I have been told me to go buy a golf :)

An e39 M5 and the e46 M3 are both not that much faster than a healthy e36 M3, so that should give the dragracer in you some food for thought

I know but a x35 with software would be worth the trouble now isnt it :)?
Thanks for the advice guys.
Need to action soon, there is another insane option that popped into my head, and it involves me not saying good bye to my M3, to crazy to mention though.
