Mmm that might be true about the 265 trophy but then to put it into perspective for the rest of the BMW gang... thats faster than the 1series M aroud the ring too. The New OPC will be brutal and only the Renault will be able to compete in its price class. The OPC is currently on its testing runs within 3 or 4 seconds from the 1series M time around the ring (which is 20 kilos long so thats almost nothing in it), so trust me it will be a very fast hatch , in a straight line it will also kill the Renault with the 5.9 sec 0-100 compared to the Renault 6.1sec.
So yes around a track the "Frenchie" will take it because that cup chassis and its super low weight makes it superb handler, but beware of the "Slo-pel". It might end up surprising a lot of people with the new one.

Only reason it was faster around the ring than the 1M is because the Renault team took it around themselves as opposed to some magazine which the 1M was clocked in.

All things equal (I.E look at all the other track comparos where the non Renault team were used) the 1M is faster..

that said the 265 is tremendously quick.. but not 1M quick..
