Where do you keep your owners manual?

So as the title states...

Since I got my E90 I've always wondered why they didn't make the owners manual to fit the glovebox or even the door tray???

So where should you keep it then??? :nonono:

Mine in the house with service books.

Makes more sense too keep it in the car doesn't it? But also thought of leaving it at home :=):

Oh... I see...

But that's where I keep my Mobility Kit... But could relocate that to underneath the floor board...

Same! When I got the car it was in the cubbyhole taking up space and likely to get beaten up by other things place there. So found this spot above the tools on the right in the boot - fits nice and snug!

and if they break into the car and it goes missing? Dan wat?

I barely refer to my manual so it works for me. Also, when I do, I use the electronic PDF copy which is easier to navigate through.

This is true! At least ones service book should be kept in a safe place!

But what is the use of the service book. The dealer don't even fill that in. Everything is recorded electronically...

Colin, how is your car on oil consumption so far? Since my car's last service I have done around 4k km and has not dropped from max yet. Last time it asked for oil it had done just over 8k km - previous time around 6k km (3k km of which is from when I bought the car). So maybe was still running in a bit - some oil usage is fine of course...

I have always kept my owners manuals in the glove box, except in my one honda, because it had a special little shelf under the glove box where you could put the owners manual. :=):

I keep mine in the glove box with all the receipts of parts I have bought in the past, even wheel alignment and tyre receipts go in the glove box. Every receipt from 2004.

Yep, in the beginning I was freaking out that my car was using oil, especially at as low a mileage 46k km. But soon read that this is a very common and normal issue with these engines. The fact that it seems to be getting better tells me that the engine is simply settling in nicely now. Our Isuzu bakkie was using a very small amount of oil when it was sitting around the 20k km mark, now almost 20k km later not using a drop.

What sort of noise is your car's clutch making? Is it a type or rattle while accelerating or changing gears? Mine has been doing this too for a while, only now starting to get more and more noticeable/annoying. Took a similar car as mine in terms of age, but with more than double the mileage (134k km) for a test drive yesterday and the clutch was pretty noisy - well, assuming it's the clutch, could very well be something loose in the exhaust system.
