When you get in your BMW...

Do you still get that "feeling" everytime you get in your BMW? Even if it is just to drive to the shop to buy something? Do you feel like driving to the furthest shop to get it?

Or when you hit the open road do you just turn up the music and wish the road will not stop?:praise:

Or when you had a meeting that started on 15:30 on a Friday afternoon:bangdesk: and you still have to drive back 250km, as soon as you get in the car you know "It's the weekend baby!!!" :joy:

Or is it just me?:fencelook:

Lol....just last night I went to to the pizza shop which is about 5km from house...skipping the one which is just down the block...lol. Just seems like a waste to start up the M for a drive to the end of the block.
I'd say it's a +1 on driving to the furthest shop:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I enjoy every moment of it. Even missed my off ramp one morning on my way to work. Or was it deliberate?

I have to agree that it's not just for getting from A to B. I'll sometimes just go for a drive on some quiet rd. stop and wander around then jump back in and go home :)

We suffer from petrol shortages here and my 328i has been doing 14.5l/100 lately - yes, I have a lead foot. I guess getting in the car makes it more of an occasion now, otherwise I'm stuck in a corolla when im trying to save fuel.

Man, every time I push the start button it feels like I'm on the racetrack 'M Power' - Know the feeling. If it only weren't for this darn fuel price :bangdesk:, would practically live in my car.

I take the honda jazz out for the short runs.

Some of us don't have start buttons, making us jealous :fencelook:

I do it occasionally , but the problem for me why I don't do it anymore is traffic . Traffic fast driving is reckless so I come out on lonely nights heehe

once a month take a drive, Rivonia offramp, N1, N3 then on to Alberton and back around the other way to the N1 again. minimum traffic and a great run.

Still the same feeling. I take the open N1 from CPT to JHB once every few months. I have to say, the distance just becomes shorter every time and thanks to diesel. :inlove:

Um...I drive an E90 320i so it is a bit difficult getting that "feeling"

Now if I was driving an F30 320d or 328i then it would be a different story :praise:

Although I do enjoy driving De Waal drive in the morning to work, especially when there is no typical Cape Town driver driving 60 km/h in the right hand lane and braking for every corner.

And if my car is clean it "feels" faster

Its still such an awesome feeling starting the beemer up and getting on the road even if just to the shops. And yes, the furthest shop will do best and when i pull into my parking bay I just wish the wife could send me for another run:rollsmile:

The moment my drive begins, no matter how short or how long, I experience JOY! Just as BMW declares!

A buddy of mine and I were discussing cars and we asked ourselves why we would never drive a new car of another brand but used BMWs and the answer was simple.

We drive used BMWs, pay much less than what a new 1600 or 1800 average car costs but would it ever compare to the joy that a BMW brings every time we start the engine?

NEVER! Would we want our days to go by in an average, joyless car or a BMW? What BMW gives to the soul, nothing can compare! BMW has spirit!

I don't even want a Ferrari or Lamborghini as much as I want a BMW! My brother and I have driven many other types to get a feel for them but we run crying for our BMWs every time! There's just no other craft like that of BMW! :=):
