Hey all,

So I have sold my Kia and Sold the Audi and now am left with just my bike.

Time for me to get a car again! Not interested in an E90 anymore and looking at an F30 320D.

What is the average price range for a 2012 - 2014 model with around 100 000km on the clock?
Most of the cars I'm seeing are not M-sport although curious to get feedback from people on the price range for such cars in the standard variant and Msport variant.
I'll only be looking at cars with xenon lights and a sunroof.

Just want to make sure I find a decent deal.

I would say in the R200k-R220k bracket you should be able to get something nice.

I viewed a one owner 2012 Msport F30 320d with sunroof, but without xenons a while back. The car was really clean and had only 72000km on the clock and the seller wanted R205000.

R205000 was about R10k over book value if I am not mistaken, but given the mileage I reckon it was definitely worth the money. Needless to say,the car wasn't available for very long.

That is very cool, never knew such features existed.

Seems to be around R190 - R220k for the years I am looking at, although that is not specifically a 320D I guess.

This helps and gives me an idea as to what may be a good deal and what is average or overpriced.

I took a quick look on Gumtree and most of the M Sport models are between R250k and R300k, more towards the R300k side, which seems steep for a 2012 - 2014 model. Is the M sport model generally that much more over a standard 320D?

Also do all of the F30's have keyless start? Can have the key in your pocket and start the car by pressing the start button?

Check out Gumtree and Auto Trader as a guide. I suppose 200k to 250k.
Be careful there is a lot of crap out there as well

...but I hear the 2012-2014 motors are problematic...or is it only the petrol ones!?
I think that's the petrol ones.

The diesel continues with the N47T motor from the E90 until the LCI in 2016 and then it gets the B47 motor I believe.

I know the N47 has issues with the cam chain wearing prematurely (pre-LCI e90) although I believe this was resolved with the N47T update which came out in 2010 on the E90.

I have the 2013 320i and there is a light noise that sounds like the chain. Besides that the wife is very happy with the car

Yep! all F30 are keyless start. Mine will be up for sale soon, it has all the features you said you are looking for plus the MPP kit. The only modification made to the car is the rear silencer box, everything else is standard. PM me so that we can chat more, if you make me a good offer, I can let go of the car now.
