What would you drive if you could not drive a BMW?

Eish a 2nd choice to beemer, thats a hard choice!!! It will def be another German engineered car eg. Merc or Audi, if i had to cut German cars out all together i would go for something american, like Ford, specifically the iconic Ford Mustang!!!

This is how its done...
*You want a car that has balance(here the AMG/Audi idea goes out the window, and I'm not even considering FWD cars)
*A car thats light and reactive to inputs
*Decent engine, reliable, Nice sound(and no, a lotus is not reliable enough for a DD)
*Good ride comfort and ergonomics
*Should look good

Of all the cars mentioned the only ones that pass are, 350Z, R32/R34 GTR, RX7/8, S15, Scooby/Evo, Cayman/911, MX-5.

Funny that no one mentioned S2000
And then theres my choice... Alfa 4C, 197bhp, 850kg(and not stripped out), mid-engined and GORGEOUS! And a projected price of R450k

2011 Opel Astra 1.6T 132 kW. All the luxuries one would want and a very comfortable drive. Had 3 Opel`s in my lifetime, almost no trouble. They all were sold original with +- 450000 km`s on the clock. LOVE THE CARS! And I had everything I needed in them. Will definately go back, very reliable.(Alot more than the 2 BMW`s I had with endless trouble since new, 320i and 530d)

Shows you that most people buy BMW's for other reasons than what it was built for. Wonder how many BMW owners can adjust a car in-corner or even manage a semi decent heel-and-toe... :nonono:

Haha Well i consider The Meg to be a drivers car, may not tick the RWD box, but sure is sumthing to drive.. will be at zwartkops on sunday ..

Other option was an E46 M but i couldnt stomach a M car with no maintenance.. not at this stage of my life..

if not a BMW....i say a VW R32...drove one and pushed it to hell and back and actually had nice grip...if money was no issue...Maclaren...(bmw engine doesnt count right?)
