Hi guys

I was offered R110 000 for my car by a friend of mine at work,
car is a 2005 E90 320d sport
160 000km
I done a full service new disk pads etc,
to those that know my car, the sale is on condition I repair the door, which is going in first week in October,

I m considering it cause I love the 330d and the 520d or 530d, or even maybe a facelift 320d like a 2007 model
also I like the facelift more then the pre lci,
I like the new bumpers, exonon lights, everything.
but not sure, as I don't software and downpipe and car runs lovely, no major problems, small things here and there but I am attending to it.

the thing is I can always fit the bumpers on this car later and also the lights I fit as well,

so no sure,

what would you do, R110 000 is a good price I think, and I am sure I can pick up a 330d or 520d or 530d for around R150 000 or even a newer 320d, but the scary part is you don't really know what you buying and it could be problematic, here I have peace of mind,

My friend is busy arranging finance, I told him to come speak to me again after his finance is approved if it is approved,

Sorry my typing in terrible, meant I done software and downpipe,

seems like your mind is already made up??

R110 000 is not a bad price for your 320d IMHO.

So its sell,

okay now tell me, I will be able to find a clean 330d or newer 320d or a 520d for around R140 000 or R150 000 max.

my previous option was to keep my car and trade the wife's yaris in for either of the cars i want, which is still a thought I am paying R3300 for that yaris sure i can trade it in for a decent BMW, wife will then take my 320d and i take the new car,

my only fear is that i must buy a non problematic car, this 320d has been very good to me,

you can get a 330d but maybe increase your budget a bit or get a facelift 320d with all the extras for R200k

Hi Naruto 335 will keep me on maintenance and consumption, i doubt i will leave the diesel side,

Splintheter I seen on auto trader that they sell from R85 000 to around R140 000 depending on mileage, sport, manual etc, I think book on the car is R115 000. but yes I think R110 000 would be a fair price,

you know when you build a bond with a car it becomes part of you, maybe i am just too emotional,

i am waiting to see if his finance get approved,

Didn't the facelift only come out in 2009? If so I don't think you'd be able to get one under for under 150 even a 2009+ 320d might be slightly more. I stand to be corrected though.

Hi.

So after thinking very hard. I decided to keep my car. The thing is I love the car. Mechanically its perfect. So issues. And yes lastly its free so rather stay debt free and slowly put the bumpers and mags I want. I did however find a nice 2007 model 320d at lyndhurst with 110 000km for R110 000. So will show my friend so he can buy that one.

I just want to also share how caring you guys are. I feel special really. You guys really care for my well being both personal and financial views.

Thanks guys.

I would only sell If I could find a 320d LCI or 330d that wins me over. One that you have checked out and are happy with. You're right in saying rather the devil you know than the devil you don't.

Hope it all works out in the end

That's funny. My dad tells me the same phrase when ever I have a fight with the wife. Lol.

Wise words. And guess what 10 years later still married to her.

Lol.

Hey Clifton,
Any idea if your buddy is still taking this car from Lyndhurt Auto?
I am currently looking for a 320d around that price range.
