what to get diesel v petrol

Hi guys
I need some help on what to buy for these reason :
consumption diesel or petrol
boot space ( not so much)
performance
over all drive
I'm looking to get from 2008 up either 320d or something in a sedan
not an X5 or X3 a nice 3series
so far I had 325i(1992)box shape & recently 1996 316i dolphin

I bought my first diesel 3 years ago and it is a E90 320d. My car has
256k km's on it right now and solid as a rock. I fall in love with my car on a daily basis. The torque and fuel economy is amazing.

All I can say is test drive and compare them yourself. You will find the right car for you.

Price will play a big part on what cars are available. No budget then I will say go 335i. If you have a budget I will tend towards 330d. If you have a very limited budget 2008 onwards will only get you a 320i, 320d, or higher mileage 323i, 325i or even 330i.

thank you ! you say consumption is great ! good ! look even though they don't come close to Bmw I had An Isuzu & currently a colt tdi 4x4 so I know about torque & things < I want something lekker to drive I miss my BMW but fuel is a big factor & maintenance

But you cant beat the feel of a high rev I6 motor.

320i, 323i, 325i < 320d win
330i < 330d win
335i - 330d depends on you. Though between the 2 if you take pros and cons

If you can, get a F30 320i. Consumption is close to that of the 320d's and the performance is just about the same but wrapped in a silky smooth 7000rpm 2.0 turbo petrol motor.

In short: reardrive + turbo + 7000rpm = :inlove:
