What makes a E46 an Individual?

Seats, colour is that it?

Black roof lining, electric roller rear blind, Harmon Kardon sound, clear indicators, weighted ///M gearknob, ///M steering wheel, black window trim, INDIVIDUAL door strips, Sportpack bumpers and sideskirts, same wheels as my 330i.

I think these were optional : electric roller rear blind, Harmon Kardon sound.
And if its an auto then you wouldn't have the ///M Gearknob.

But black strips,INDIV door strips are main tell tale signs.

Also the suspension is way harder in comparison to a standard e46 even if it has the Borbet designed 17inch Indiv Rims , which btw are a staggered set (7.5j rear and 7j front, I could be wrong on actual figures).Also the rims have the M badges on them.

How does the door strips look like? Does it have the M badge on tha back doors only?

The one i;m looking at does not have the M badge on the front.

But it has pretty much everything else mentioned.

if it only has the ///M door sil and doesn't say Individual , then it is a 2004 sportspack.they looked similar to the individual from 04 to 05. the individual is also slightly lower than a sportspack.

as far as i can rem they are black with silver writing that says : Individual.
Also check the ID Tag of the car on the strut tower,passanger side it might say BMW Individual on the tag. I know the e36 had this type of tagging.
And the seat(front) have the tigh rest, its the bit that extends in the front and the seat also "rotates" (dips forward and backward).

Btw do you know if the e36 individual M contours came in 8.5j but the version without the ring and ///M Badge?

I think i got the MSport II because it does not say Individual in the front. Pretty much got everything else mentioned accept the extras like rear blinds etc.
