ofocurse yes i miss the m20 engine ! the whole reason i got into bmw in the first place some 20 odd years ago ,m20 ftw ,:thumbs:

Seeing this just makes me not want to go for a newer model.

I do get the feeling since after the E46, in the quest of weight saving, the vehicles have been fitted with lighter panels, trim items, materials etc. at the expense of long term durability.........did sit in a F30, the interior items are stunningly shaped and crafted although the materials used are still some way off being classed as superb quality.

Seeing this just makes me not want to go for a newer model.
