This Car is straight and it was in an accident Rear End Accident and passenger side door

This Car has cosmetic damage but Motor Wise it drives like a dream

I say if you spend 15k max on body work it a steal because its selling for about 70k below trade value

I doubt anyone will find a mechanical fault on this car
Just my 2c worth .

Oh and I forgot the interior is like brand new !!!

In 2008 , 29 July, serious accident, Total damage R236,518
before the insurance could scrap it, it was repaired.
Non bmw approved repair shop, so motorplan voided

JustNN did you the pics of the car ?????
What I meant was that if you spend a further 10 to 15k on the bodywork
It will be 100 % perfect .

Dude R15k on repairs is like nothing. To have a bumper resprayed at a BMW approved shop is about R4k - R5k so with R15k you might only make things worse... I'm also not worried about the back bumper, I'm worried about whats behind that. Repairing actual body damage on the rear takes one hell of a professional to get right so I'm not so sure everything is okay.

Is it really R70k below market value? Saw a 2006 m3 with 23k km's on the clock about a few months ago for R315k with no accident damage and motorplan in tact so not sure R320k is market value. I could be wrong though and also the one I saw was yellow:)

Crux of the matter with that color, you have to blend.

Sun damages the paint, so even if you get the exact color that the factory uses, it has to be adjusted due to the sun/acid rain damage, this is difficualt, and the differance between a good and bad panel shop.

By blending, you actually lighty spray the adjacent panels as well, to take the glaringly obvious affect away. On darker/metallic cars, color matching is very difficualt.

Something can therefore be said for white cars, it makes life a lot easier, although there are something like 87 differant combinations of white.

Market average is about 2 to 3k for a bumper, non metallic, and 3 to 4k for a hard color, something like saphire black is downright painful....

Well Spotted Fanatics,

Response form seller:

Hi the car is still available. The motorplan was suspended in 2008. The car was involved in a rear accident. However the car is still decent and an excellent price. Thanks

Dont think I would buy it... Damage quoted by Coisman was spot on. Phoned BMW with VIN... Bad rear end accident apparentlly, More than a bumber and a door...

Looks like we have a friend in the right place here! Thanx Coisman, and all the others who spotted the irregularities.
