What do you guys think of this? I spoke to the owner, everything sounds very legit, he is the second owner since 2013, my mom and "soon to be stepdad" went to have a look, as they are in Mossel bay for a few days, they are very impressed.

My main concern is the km's and the price? I know myself, and I just dont want to loose lots of money if I in 3 months want to sell it again.

Input please guys, as Imust make a decision this morning

Overpriced.

For the year model and mileage, you could probably pick another one like that up for around 95k.

I actually offered him R100k, but he dont want to neg.

For R100k I will take it, but the reason for my doubt, is the R120k

Is the owner an old timer? :roflol:

I've had my fair share of haggling down in George/Mossel Bay. Doesn't really play to your advantage haha.

Personally i would disagree with Dyllan as i do not think you will find another msport for R95k. That car has some good extras and looks to be in good condition. I would confirm the service history and get an idea of what was replaced on the car. Some people pay up to R95k for an E39, so not sure how that classes this car as over priced.

It is not a car that you can recover you money if selling and that applies to almost all BMW's these days anyways.

If you are looking to sell in under 3 years..., dont buy it

I think I missed the m-sport bit, but surely you can get an LCI for similar pricing, which would be a better buy?

I have also been looking at E60 530d's for a time now and they range from about R190k for a 2009 to about 70k for a non-runner (with maf problems, etc). I got my 2006 non m-sport with 160k on the odo for about the money this guy is asking and i must say, i think i bought a bargain as i am over the moon with my car. I like the extras on the car advertised and as the last 120k kms was long distance (driven over the last two years), the kilos won't bother me too much, but then, i tend to keep my cars for two to three years normally. These cars are excellent. The revs at 120kph is only 1750rpm and at that speed the engine is right on the torque band. It is a very good engine with minimal problems (apart from the swirl flaps), so Stiaan, buy the car. We can remove the swirlies and decat it and you can then sell it to me :=):

Just called him to say I'll take the car, sounds like he just sold it, he promised it to a guy that is coming from Durban or somewhere, but Im second in the queue now, within 2 days on Gumtree, so sounds to me it was a good buy after all
