What do the fanatics think about this?

I was browsing Facebook and came across this 2012 335i with quite decent spec and low mileage for the year model.

I am not looking to buy at all,I was just wondering if this is a good price or not?
Either way it is a lot of car for the money.

Price is actually a bit heavy, there are 2013's selling for similar and less.

Bur the M Sport package is playing a role in the price here G:coolShake:

Guys,

I have been to this dealership before, they have some well priced vehicles and some a little over. pictures look great but hide defects...rather go have a look and then ascertain if REALLY worth the price.

The one gentleman i dealt with was an awesome chap, i liked the car (2007 Audi S3) but too much work for me to get it to my level of liking.

By reading your guys' comments,it is quite clear that I am underestimating just how much cars depreciate nowadays.:smashScreen:

Trade Value 310150.00
Retail Value 353150.00
Market Value 331650.00

negotiate for a better price and extend warranty and you are sharp

Bud I see you basically base every car's price on exactly what the M&M/Auto Dealers Guide book says, real market value is not a matter of adding the two together and dividing it in half, use it as a guide but don't take what it says as fact.:coolShake: You have to look at what car's are trading for in the market place, some are selling at trade and trading way behind, some are selling for far over retail, eg. most 10 year and older M cars.

I hear your view but we actually have no hard data on what these cars actually trade hands for (I do agree that the rare cars sell way over book but no idea what that value is reliably) - just what they are advertised for. I've gone to see 1Ms where the negotiation starts at 100K less than the advertised price...

Helped a few guys looking for S2000s recently and same story: Car advertised for R300K and trades hands under 250.

Value is related to rarity and condition. If there isn't anything particularly special about this 335 then there is no reason for it to be particularly different to book values.

Interestingly enough it looks like the days of cheap E92s is coming to an end soon.
