Auto Alpina in Boksburg used to be pretty good in the past before the new owners took over, not sure how their service is like at the moment....

After all the positive feedback Ive been hearing from Club Motors Fountains, I feel I have to add my 2c, and unfortunately it is not good. :nonono:

This morning when I took my car in for a service at Ceder Isle BMW learned that Club Motors Fountains never bothered to transfer the motorplan to my name after the initial purchase from them 5 months ago.

I was informed that should the motorplan transfer not be completed,BMW on-call will not be able to help you should you be stranded at the side of the road.

Furthermore there was a stuff up with my licencing and registration. I paid the R4000 odd on top of the purchase just to release that my licence disk had to be renewed 3 months after the purchase date.

I do not know if it was the sales rep that was responsible for this, but I have since learned that he is no longer with the branch.

Buying a car is supposed to be a pleasant experience, I am sad to say they have left a sour taste in my mouth, and I wont be going back to them :thumbdo:

you spoke to the DP yet, I also sometimes find problems there, but Alwyn then sorts it out immediately.

Riiiight, so I recently serviced my car (see a few post back) and 2000km later the front brake service light came on.

Car has been with JSN for 2days now, something regarding clutch/gearbox programming, entering a 3rd day tomorrow with no clear indication of when they will be done.

1. Can anyone tell me what the policy is regarding loan cars, if this continues I'll have to rent a car in my own capacity.
2. Ideas how to get them to hurry up?

Awesome thread.

Clearwater gave me a wrong quote on my service, i have the N47 engine. They gave me parts for the M47

Called JSN, wanted a quote so spoke to some Wandille, asked what will a oil service be and all filters to be changed on the 320d she took my details with VIN and said she will call back, she did and said she cant give me an exact price but prob 5-6 for all the parts oil, filters spark plugs and so on., Told her i dont have spark plugs as its a diesel, she then spoke to some other lady, Told her I need a price so that i know what to do and what ill pay when i fetch my car. So she put me through to parts got a total of odd 2700. Called her back said i have a price on the parts what will they charfe me on labour etc. She again said she doesnt know and cant help me out. 456. Not sure what she does there?

So then she put me trough to costing and the guy Colin gave me an axect quote and emailed toe me. Thats the service I wanted. Eish.

Guys that used JSN, what service advisor did you use?

My service advisor was also Wandile. Wasn't too impressed. She seems
like she is sharp enough, but she kept forgetting simple requests and also couldn't give me the type detailed feedback I wanted. I couldnt figure out what the exact reason is, but I expect all advisors have a lot on their plates.

Yeah I guess so bud, but as long as you were sorted out and happy?

I took my car in this morning, it was still raining so the guy came and fetched me with an umbrella etc - He then took me through to Bernadine, and so far I've received 2 calls and 2 sms's, she is on a ball and treated me and all the other ppl booking in their cars with a smile - very friendly. So far all is going good, really like what Im getting so far

So far JSN gets my +1 and def one needs to speak to Bernadine.

Hi Guys

I was at Leo Haese Centurion today. And I was pleasently surprized. I suppose that a dealer ship is only as good as the people you interact with and this give you a sample size of one, but it is this sample size that drives one perception of the rest of the dealership.

I must say the sales people are not very friendly and if you are not wearing a pinstripe suite they even wont look up from the solitaire they are playing on the PC's.

However I was pleasantly surprized and very happy with the service and parts department. The part salesman Danie was EXTREMELY helpfull and even gave me discount without me asking. He then put me in touch with one of the Mechs Mark De Beer. What a Joy. he sorted out all my questions , Tyres circumference, Software updates, DPF cycles, CAT's showed me the diag machine and took me throug the fault code process. I just decided sommer to book in my Car for a Diag and Software check he took me to a very professional service agent Ashmee. She took the X3's key pulled the history etc made the booking and answered questions about accident history, services done etc.

So I only bought wipers and Danie helped me put them on the X3 outside in the parking in the rain. no that is service

So far I am happy with the service we will just see how the actual service goes next week but I must say it was one of my better dealer experiences

So for Parts : Danie
Mech: Mark de Beer
Service bookings etc: Ashmee

I will keep posted to see if the service was good till the end

Zambezi Auto sales service sucked, i had to phone them so many times and only once did they call me back, i cancelled that whole deal and phoned up Club motors fountain and well they were full of crap and made me wait days for a few simple questions on the deal, eventually i got tired of running after them and contacted the dealer principle, he was so shocked he said he would handle the deal and he got me all my paperwork and delivery of my vehicle the next day, now because of him ill buy my next beemer from them. Another thing is you cant not like a brand because of the apes behind the counter, i mean no matter what service i got i would take an M4 in a heart beat if i had the chance
