WESTERN CAPE EVENTS SUGGESTIONS

Hey guys,

As noted in the Events Feedback Thread I feel there isn't consensus on the proposed Western Cape Events and those the Members wish to have.

I would therefore welcome all to give their input on what they feel would be appropriate events within the region.

My initial plan was to look at the following events within the next few months -
(1) Midnight Meet for Coffee or Ice Cream at Caltex in Paarden Island (or other central Filling station);
(2) Mountain Pass Run to Restaurant of choice to watch Formula 1;
(3) Possible Go Kart Event.

I like the idea of a drive to a good place to watch F1 and talk cars.
I get to drive, watch F1 and talk cars, sounds pretty perfect for me.


Maybe also try get everyone to meet up for a group photoshoot somehow? Everyone loves pic's and we have some great photographers here. I would love to get some nice shots of my car that are properly done and edited. I would, and expect most fanatics would pay for this? It takes some series equipment and sold time editing to get the photos looking so good. I don't expect the photographers to do so much without some compensation.

Re. the run to a place for watching sports etc, Chris speak to Nick at AutoMC. He owns that bar/golf club nearby his place called Paarl de Ville.

Regarding the photos. Way back when we had our resident TheMo do a photoshoot for a small fee.

I can contact him to arrange for another shoot for a small fee.

I have been known to attract hundreds of woman drivers when I put on my white body hugging to T shirt for a car wash. Not to mention when it gets wet with soap! I would have to check my diary though, I'm pretty much booked for the next few months :blowheart:

Serious note, I really wanna go to the events, but when it starts at 8/9 or 10 on a Saturday morning it aint gonna work. Maybe its just my bad luck :-( that I work Saturdays.

Drives to wherever, meet up for coffee, group shots etc I'm down with that.
