Hello people.
My name is António and i live in Madeira Island, from Portugal.
I love bmw, specially e30s and e36.
My e30s are:
320is Trophy (version only to Portugal and Italy, due to high taxes), with a 2.0 S14 engine.
325i Sport
325i USA
325iX
and finally, my last acquisition, a 325i from ZA.
Hope to learn with you.
Cheers

Good evening sir.

Welcome to the forum

I'm a Portuguese South African, my parents were from Ponta Do Pargo. Are you an Ex-South African?

You must have the "safest" E30 325is in the world here in SA they like gold and you have to be careful were you park as it might "disappear"

Post some pictures of your cars

What part of Madeira are you from?

Thanks sir.
I was born and raised in Madeira, but know i'm at Lisboa finishing Med School. I am from Funchal, Madeira.

I think i've made a mistake, unffortunately not a 325is, just a 325i with m tech 2 kit factory. In Portugal i know 2 325is Evo 2 from Ex-south African and 2 333i, but one is lost in the past and I'm trying to find it but is getting hard.

Soon I will post some pictures.
Can you please explain to me 2 things to me:
-There is any 325is 4 door? (I know a person who says he got one, and he is a ex-SA and bought it new)

-There is any way to decode SA vins like there is in German(all other bmws not made in RSA)
Thanks a lot
António

Can I try to answer that and happy to be corrected by members if I'm wrong.
In SA, 325is was 2 door only
In EU... The 325is does not exist apart from the 318is and 320is
Also, UK 325i models have been branded as 325i (only 2.5 ltr)Sport and came in 2 doors with auto transmition as well.
No 4 door 325is models exist as far as I'm aware- happy to be corrected
