Hi,

Am from Jozi. Just bought a E34 520IM 1994, with 92.000 original milleage.

After replacing fuelpump, (went to bosch directly, saved me about 4000) I now have my attention to the vanos unit
and the rear diff were I have a clunk.

Figuring out what the rear diff ratio's are on our 520's from SA and if they came out with LSD as in europe this was an option. (3.64 LSD) and might want to source one of those.

Need some e34 buddies around woodmead, that are clued up and also can strip/replace a door, and just for chitchat and hanging around. Was referred by uber soldat from bimmerforums.com

Thats it for now. :)

Welcome dude,

Im sure you will find the required info here, and another E34 is always welcome here, they seem to be growing in popularity.

Good find on the low KM's..

Installed rear headrest so far and changed fuelpump to a brand new bosch one. I also have a rear door that has a dent, where I bought a good one for, need some guy that can swap it quick quick. My attention now has to go to Vanos unit, rear diff clunk (and maybe LSD change) and clutch. Was a genuine old mans car, I am the first second owner, bought it with 91000 on the clock. O yeah also have original mags coming my way this week, to keep it original.
If I ever decide in a few years to put a s52 engine in there, I leave the 520 badge... :)) but for now, sorting it perfectly out is first priority.

Well if you dont come right by next weekend, your welcome to pop past my place and i'll give ya a hand with the door swap, Im in Oakdene in the South

For the Diffs and stuff, Im still busy learning, but a complete diff swapout looks kinda easy last time I worked on an E34. If things go right, I'll be buying a E34 in December.
