The Oilers are very good. I had a 320d for quite some time as well. Just loved that nice low down torque and ofcourse the fuel bill as well. Mine had a sportspack on, which made the ride a bit on the harsh side, but then again the twisties was more fun, always the trade off. I see you are from Springbok. What do you do over there?

Regards

Howzit guys. Thanks for all the Welcome's; it is appreciated. :clap:You guys are going to have to tell me how the ding dong to navigate through the site, because I am looking around and cannot find the menus that Twinz and Hellas are talking about.

Sorry about the late reply, but had a few things to sort out.:cursin:

Twinz, looking forward to seeing the new wheel mate. You must come and show this RV, if you are having it done at Donfords. I work at Parmalat, just down the drag into S/Bosch town proper.

The engine conversion on the 35 is magic I have to say. I had the limiter removed as well - helps to make good friends with the mechanic doing the conversion; I think. The car's whole personality has changed. there is a lot more torque available low down from bout 2500 to 4500. it is also 2sec's quicker on 0-150, as measured by Donfords. So you feel like the car is alive around you all the time. Can't wait for the engine to loosen up properly. O, and she runs off her clock at top-end now, not a clue what the real speed would be, but hope that it is quicker than 250, because the internal bragging with yourself is NB.

The conversion, includes a bigger radiator as well, so Beemer is playing very safe. Just shows how under-stressed Beemer motors actually are in standard trim!!!!!!!!!

Hellas, what type of construction work do you do? I know that we are busy modifying a DC up there in Upington, maybe you involved with that?

Andre, is the work in UPT for Parmalat itself?
Hallo Hellas.
Work is apparently almost done - it was for Parmalat. Modifications to Distribution Centre in the town due to space constraints we had there.

Sorry bud.

No, we do very little work for the local municipalities or DC's. We target the mines and bigger DM infrastructure contracts. We're a 8CE and 6GB CIDB.

It's our grading according to the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB). They classify each company according to the maximum size project that they can handle. This helps a LOT to keep the small guys out of your hair (and contracts). If you don't have a high enough classification, you are not allowed to tender on certain jobs. 6GB means we can do General Building (GB) contracts up to R13million and 8CE is Civil Engineering contracts up to R130meeljon.

Check www.cidb.co.za
