I joined the forum so I could read up (and not just be a lurker) before buying a previously owned BMW 3 series.
The BMW bug bit me after I bought a BMW F800GS last year. Something mesmerising about seeing that badge in your driveway.
What I drive at the moment? Well, it's rather embarrassing as it's in no way a man's car. Needless to say I'm hoping to change that in the near future.
Currently shopping for a 2005 / 2006 (E90) 330i, not sure about going automatic or manual, my gut says manual but somehow driving a car like that seems like it should be automatic. Color? At first I thought I wanted arctic white with black leather, sportspack. After seeing sooooo many white beemers on the road I'm rethinking it a little. That charcoal with light grey leather also seems as though I could live with it, would still prefer black leather though.
I'm from Cape Town, northern suburbs, so ja, ek's afrikaans maar kan genoeg engels verstaan om 'n gesprek te volg.
That's probably the story in a nutshell. We'll get to know each other as we go along.
