Hi,

I don't want to sound stupid, but it would be nice if someone could put a explanation of what the colours mean. It is probably in the thread somewhere but it is a long thread.

The blue outline is where the rain is currently. The red outline is where the rain should be in 30 minutes. Yellow cell is most likely lightening. Red is hail. Grey is apocalypse run and hide. Earlier this year we saw grey in brakpan. Roofs caved in. All the leaves on the trees ended on the ground. Houses got damaged etc

Massive storm by the looks of it with thunder/lightning. Eastbound with the worst currently directly over Joburg and stretching to Lanseria, with the bigger cell stretching from Heidelburg up to Rustenburg.

The light blue outlines show the current cell position; the red outlines show the approximate cell destination within 30 minutes; the shades are explained in the legend on the right, from green at the bottom being cloud cover, to red at the top being hail probability. If you see red shading with a grey centre, run and hide because it means its severe.
