Hows the forecast looking like for this afternoon?

looking fine !!, almost no radar targets at this stage, except in the Eastern Cape

Just need it to hold out for a few more hours so I can make it to Sandton with no rain

look at the current High resolution satellite image, almost cloudless, first development is out Standerton way, but our weather in Gauteng normally comes from the West (Potch thru Mmabatho to Gabarone) direction....clear skies out that way as well

So not such clear skies, but nowwhere near to yesterday at this time, some isolated cells of weather starting to develope, closest one is over Vosloorus, moving towards Heidelberg
Otherwise well to the North and to the East

red reflections within indicate possibility of hail

Round number 2....a massive thunderstorm, fortunatelly it is in dissipating phase, so no hail expected, but its gonna be thundery for a long time tonight

the leading edge of the storm (worst part) has now moved past Kempton towards Garsfontein, the remainder of the cell behind it seems to be collapsing/dissipating

maybe another hour before it totally clears up ?
