nothing on the highveld at the moment

large band of cloud from Angola thru Botswana and into the Freestate, Kimberly Bloem etc are showing radar returns, but nothing severe.

the upper atmosphere winds seem to be pushing the entire system eastwards, and thus the weather service is forecasting early morning rain, possibly thundery from 02h00 to 03h00 onwards, so I think we will awaken to some rain and possibly thunder tomorrow morning.

I see something over Krugersdorp/Soweto at the moment, looks like its going to be moving towards JHB CBD... Doesnt look too intense though

just looked at the radar images

small thundery cells, not a deep contour, and colour intensity indicates rain only....not worth the effort of saving and posting an image

will monitor

as there is a lot more ....still small developing out Carltonville way, moving towards JHB, and they might yet develope into something
