Gents, got a small water leak coming from my car, driving home yesterday, low coolant warning came up, stopped at home and a little white smoke from the left kidney grill, I can see on the pipes there are water marks, so not sure if I need to replace radiator, there is also a slight hissing noise from the middle of the engine bay, anybody have any suggestions or experienced this before ?

Also wondering if 320,323,325 all use the same radiators ?

Remove the black cover above the kidneys. running along the top of the radiator there should be a thin black plastic pipe that runs to the water tank. these pipes are known to break. replace the pipe with a thin alu 8mm pipe.

Not saying its the problem in your case, but they are a common problem. check it first.

Hi, I had the same issue on my 320i. Pipe gets brittle with age. Bought the pipe from the dealer & replaced it myself

Snap! Mine broke in exactly the same place as the pic. White smoke/steam pissed out. You should be able to see it quite easily when the car is running

Can be a whole host of things. On mine I had to replace the radiator which had a Crack where the top hose joins. Then it was the thermostat, and lastly the waterpump. All contributed to water leaks

Do yourself a favour. Go to a hardware and buy aluminium tubing and 2 clamps. Those pipes from BMW are flimsy plastic with thin alu tubing only on the ends for a stupid stealer price!!
