Hi guys

Im purchasing a 2013 bmw f30. I need some advice with regards to a warranty plan. The dealer is including a free 2 year warranty with the car but its the basic cover. Not happy with the warranty they offering.

Do u guys have any suggestion on what warranty companies i should look at if i am planing on doing a few mods..

Thanks

Doing any mods on a car, even on an aftermarket warranty, is financial suicide when something goes wrong.
My personal view is to keep it stock, unless you can afford maintenance and upkeep without any plan help.

SMG offered me a nice 2 year warranty which cover engine up to 70k etc.

Make sure you get 320D and not 320I, the earlier 320I models has some engine issues!

Will definitely look into that when my warranty expires. What was the cost of the warranty if i may ask.

Its a bit late now already got the vehicle. Only has 60 000 the clock. What kinda issues getting a bit worried now.

I was advised to get look for a warranty that offers subsequential/related damage cover. Apparently some warranties only cover the actual damage such as the broken timing chain/cam belt but not the bent valves or related damage?!

My warranty hasn't covered any claim so far on my 320i, even the valve stem seals which they claimed were wear and tear. My suggestion would be read all the fine print and ask many questions...
