Warning light?

hey guys......

This light popped up on my dash while I was driving yesterday. I stopped, checked my tyres, which were all fine and then switched on the ignition and held in the corresponding button on the center console. This seems to have worked by cancelling the light. Is this something i have to be concerned about or have checked?

Could be a false positive. Did you check pressure. Were you driving through water causing dsc or skid control to come on. I drove through a patch and the yellow not red light came on re-initialised tyre pressure and bob was my auncle :)

I was driving on a very uneven road, but There werent any water puddles or anything remotely wet on the road. I just heard a ping sound and saw the red light on the dash. I have checked my tyre pressures, and they're all between 2.2 & 2.3 bars. Could it be that I just had to "re-initialize'' my tyre pressures?

try it, you sure that something never pierce the runflat i.e. still lodged in the tyre? Red light normally means damage and losing pressure quickly.

I dont see anything in my tyres, and that happened yesterday morning, the wheels are all still inflated.

It could then just be a false alarm, reinitialize and it should be sorted. Similar thing happened on my sis new car.

When you initialize the tyre monitor system, the car will then monitor the tires against each other via the rotation. Meaning that if one tyre rotates slower then the other the car will notice this and the warning light will come on.

By you saying that you drove over an uneven road surface does explain why the system would have activated (but it will only do this in severe cases, so one wheel rotated slower then the other for a set time to bring up the warning). This is also how the car monitors if there is a flat.

So if 2 things happen the light will come on, the tyre is flat or the tyre has less pressure then the other tyres, say you have 2.3bar on the rear right but only 1.8bar on the rear left the light will come on and warn you that you need to check the tires.

Reset the tyre monitor system and see if the problem comes back.
