The e36 328i will do about 205 in 4th at 6500 revs with the 2.93 diff . With a 3.46 ( 316i etc ) it will do about 175 .
1st about 51 , 2nd about 87 , 3rd about 130 , 4th about 175 and 5th about 215 - all at 6500 revs-also depends on tyre diameter .
A 4.11 would give about 175 in 5th - I think it is a bit too short .
Are you running a M50 inlet manifold ? This keeps the motor pulling to red line instead of power tapering off after 5500 revs .( now you can keep the gear to red line ) .
My 325i non vanos pulls well with the 3.46 - gives the 328i a hard time !!
Good luck .

:pimp:
I can remember with my Honda, I fitted gear ratios that were longer, in order to keep the car inside the V-Tec power range.
I did 85 in 1st, 125 in 2nd, and 155 in 3rd, in 4th I got up to 195, and when I put her into 5th, the revs dropped to 6,200rpm, and she could rev up to 9,200rpm.
For me that worked perfectly for my needs on the track days. Also if I decided to do top-end runs and 1km runs, and 1,3km runs at ODI she was in her element.

Good luck with everything, I really wish I had the $$$ to get myself a nice "toy" for the track again...
