Wanted: E39 rear doorpanels with blinds

Spoke to Rick about this last night, and have decided that the hunt is on.

An optional extra on the e39 was retractable blinds for the rear side windows.
These were manually operated. You had a blind for the big window that pulled up vertically, and on the small window, you had a manually operated blind that closed horizontally.

So on your rounds doing scrapyard delving, please keep a lookout for something like this.

I have a black interior.

My father in law's F10 523 has got it. It really adds a level of sophistication even for the 523!

I have never seen these on an E39 in all my search's. Wonder what was the cost of the option back in the days compared to what BMW would charge now.

I would assume that those 540 Protection models came with it.

awesome, never ever ever ever seen on a scrapyard anywhere, and have done the rounds, Gauteng and Ct......best bet would be ebay.......
and then they are not cheap......
