I bougt it for my E92 M3 manual, but changed in the meantime to DCT, so now I dont need it

it will run like a mofo on steroids! But you are looking for a Virgin in boksburg! you can get one manufactured or imported but the BMW type 210 diff never had a 4.10 ratio from the factory.. its all aftermarket! you can consider a 3.91 which is also one awesome ratio and very easy to come by for under R3k

Interesting. The 3.91 ratio your talking about is a 188 gearset? obviously for that price its not the 210. The one I got for sale is a 210.

Bud the 3.91 im on about is type 210 from the old 735i series! I do have one fitted in my 1998 E36 M3 3.2!
i paid R1700 for my ratio!

in comparison 3.91 to 4.10 ?

take any given speed on any RPM and your stock ratio is 3.64.
lets say 280km/h on 7500rpm.

280km/h x stock ratio (3.64) / new ratio (3.91) = 260km/h on 7500rpm
280 x 3.64 / 3.91 = 260
280 x 3.64 / 4.10 = 248

So with the 3.91 vs 4.10 there is a 12km/h difference in top speed!

4.10 will accelerate quicker than 3.91, but will lose a bit of top end..............

The main reason for changing the gearing is for acceleration AFAIK.

Sherwin@Xcede fitted different diff gearing to his E46 a few years ago........

I bought a compete 3.46 diff with the whole rear suspension bracket of an E36 at BEMOWS for R1800. diff alone should be nothing more than R1200

Guys Speak to Nukleus he's done the 3.91 on an E46 M3.

shortest gears arent always best. shorter the diff = harder to launch!

the best gearing will be to cross the 1/4mile line in end of powerband in 4th gear.
