For those of you at have followed this thread and I guess for those that haven't. ( http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=58819 )
In a few days or weeks time we will be starting a new car/project.
The tough part comes in here, a fellow Fanatic would like to purchase the black one (won't post the car make in text as it's a buzz kill for the rest of the read). I think he has a very similar passion for cars that I, Bruce and team do. So depending on which one you guys pick, the Fanatic may get his car (with a small buy back clause obviously hehe)

Will post a pic of the cars now and what I wish to achieve as a final product on each of them.

Car no.1. I bought this project off a friend 10 years ago, young me, thinking I could easily afford to fix it up, little did I know at the time, that my budget and what was required were two totally different things. Not being able to fix it as I would have liked back then, I have let it stand in waiting. As circumstances have changed (work hard, play harder) I can now afford to get it finished.
It's not a 325is, it's a 318i with a genuine kit, I saved and saved and added and added, but no matter how much I saved back then, I didn't come close. Under the hood is a surprise for now, if we build it, it could be the magical part of the entire car.

And what I would like it to be

Car no.2. I'd seen and heard of a 2dr MKII GTI standing idle. Little did I know that it would belong to a person I speak to once a month (he is both supplier and customer of mine), maybe a year of begging went by, and he suddenly gave in. I was almost shocked when he said we had a deal. Without delay I had the flatbed called up and on route to his house (petrol pump had gone after standing for many years). I could see he was emotional seeing it leave his premises.

In your decision, do not worry which one would need more work, but rather, which one you would rather see on the road one day perhaps driving along side you :)

I leave it to you to vote. (Will give it a week)
Taking into account the MKII may or may not be built and shown on this forum.

Since it's a BMW forum I'm sure there will be a serious bias towards the E30 :inlove:

Everytime I see one I fall in love all over again, sentimental.

Guessing it's the E30 for you Opp?
I think many e30 owners are like me, they might just love the MKII too.

e30 if the budget allows (is justified) as parts will be more expensive than modding a VAG product which has an abundance of support from the aftermarket.

.......and if you really want to burn a big hole in your pocket s50b32/s54b32 with supercharger 6 spd box lsd powerbrake brake kits bilstein coil overs and an abundance of prayers every time you take it on the road........
just saying :)

btw body looks super

Tough one.

Although a 2 door mkii golf is rare, i would still prefer to see a 2 door e30 on the road.

It would be a shame to only do one.

My opinion, do both and share both results with us. I personally love all worthy cars, and would love seeing both these on the road, especially if finished as per the examples provided (E30 in the garage with wide stance of course).

I would have to say both, It's just too hard to choose one. Yeah its only a golf, but that car has so much rep behind it and the E30 is pure porn :praise:

e30

Put some old school red pin-striping on the GTi and leave that be for now. Great cars the both of them, just the e30 is greaterer.

As for whats under the hood of the e30, judging by the broom, you have managed to capture and harness Coisman's Mother in Law :roflol::roflol:
Judging by the intake plenum there, looks like you have the chrome bumpers m10 motor. Possibly an m10 turbo on the cards?

MK 2 GOLF, 2 door:inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove:

we never got them here,so seeing one brought up to date is just so right, and if it was me would do the golf first.

I would do the bm second,as we had them locally, and there is already some nice examples out there
