I have replaced the visco fan on both my diesels, the X5 was completely free running and the car was running hot, now the temp hardly touches halfway.
The 320D sounded like a Datsun all the time, I am amased at the amount of power that fan steals, replaced last night and I feel like I am driving a new car.
Now don't crucify me but I did not use original Behr fans at R2800, I found a aftermarket fan from Legit auto (no name brand but aparently from Belco) for R650 and replaced both, for now they work perfectly, will see how they last.
