Virus warning when opening post with "postimg.org/image/"

My laptop is running with SOPHOS antivirus software, and recently whenever I open a page with embedded "postimg.org/image/" images contained, my antivirus software goes off the chart

this is the message it throws at me...
High Risk Website Blocked
Location: postimg.org/image/469jl9z71
Access has been blocked as the threat Mal/HTMLGen-A has been found on this website.
Return to the page you were previously viewing.

sophos web protection

essentially I cannot see any images that are uploaded/linked to this website, and at this stage that is the default system that BMWFanatics uses for uploading of images.

maybe the operators of this website/forums can investigate this.

Mmmmm

I use AVG internet Security not the free ware but the Paid License and the sensitivity is Set to High. I have not received any warnings what so ever.

The Webmaster must have a look at this. I will send him a Pm

sounds to me that Sophos has blacklisted that site because of a previous occurrence of the Mal/HTMLGen-A threat on that site. the web site "postimg.org" is considered a high risk site by Sophos. Nothing the operators can do this side.

the fact that no-one else is receiving the same warning messages confirms this. you may need to whitelist the site in your Sophos to avoid receiving these messages.

sometimes antivirus over-protection is more frustrating than the viruses themselves.

We will forward this to Nic_s to look into, but I think Josh is correct.

Yep, I also use all the freebies from Microsoft and never had an issue.

I haven't used Opera for years, but I doubt that's the issue... From my xperience, Sophos is a nanny anti-virus, so download security essentials and uninstall sophos

I am not too familiar with this Anti but I am sure there is a Configuration Manager you can add on that will allow you add an exclusion list.

Hope that helps
