So what would the price be on a catless mid pipe be for the N54 135i?
I finally got under my one yesterday to find out that the BMW performance exhaust still has mid cats.. I always thought they done away with the cats, but I've now found out its Hi-Flo cats thats been out there instead!:nonono:

Just get an N55 mid-section. Problem solved.

I have looked into that, the N55 is catless but it comes with a muffler box...
Where as the N54 BMW performance mid's have a muffler box delete but comes with cats... Decisions decisions! What i would like is simple straight thru pipes, no restrictions!

He wrote me some prices on a business card.

Two options: CAR 2005 325ci
1 – Complete system with branch R6,700
2 – Branch with De-cat R3,500

Pre / Post Dyno run is R500..

Will post the quote once I receive it.

those prices are excluding Vat... I dont really understand the need for a quote... Ive already quoted the prices in the thread...

My price the same price as you will get from Viper  we have an agreement where i get paid for publishing info, bringing him customers and helping you decide what is right for you...

this costs you nothing... so feed a hungry petrol head and let me help you get the most out of your car :)

That’s correct, excluding VAT. Reason I posted the price was due to the 2 options I asked for, not all fanatics would want a full systems.

Indecently my car does not need cat simulators.

Important to note, your car would probably have to stay there overnight if you are going full system with branch.

hermanbriel thanks for going in and confirming prices :)

I just want to avoid the situation where I quote then Viper also quote on the same job... this wastes their time and your time (fuel also if you go in for the quote)
part of my job is to deal with customers and lighten the work load...

the prices i give out are the Viper price as there is a price list... if you need something Custom done or have a car Abel has not made an exhaust for before then I will send you in for a detailed quote

Bud, the things I do to support the Fanatics I do because I want to, and by no means do I consider any of it a waste of time.

Your objective here is to provide a better service, and that is great. God knows, sometimes we need it.

I made Viper understand that I was there on behalf of the Fanatics and I am in constant communication with this guy called Sean??? So, no confusion there.

I have done my assessment of the shop and it is up to the other guys to do the same.

One thing is for sure though, the prices are good.

OK, can do.

Shop – it is an exhaust fitment centre, nothing more. While I was there they were building a pipe for probably one of the most ridicules 1 series coupe’s I have ever seen. Not sure if it was a 1M, bloody hope not.

The pipe work they did was very good, although they had to cut back a bit (after flange fitment) to make the back boxes fit. Still, the work looked good, really good.

Abel's right hand man received me with a smile, the guy is a new owner of an E36 328i and he obviously loves the car; he was very complimentary of my car and would have swopped in like 60 seconds!! I had a brief but nice chat with him.

Abel is an easy guy to read, he cares about his business, but don’t expect the red carpet as a Fanatic. Business is business, and a customer is exactly that... nothing wrong with that though.

I honestly believe that Viper Kempton is a viable option, I would like to hear a system though as I have no reference.

It’s a shame though that they are situated in such a shit area.

But for someone like me who spends two days a week in JHB city, it’s just another day at the office.

Nice thread, good info here.

Moranor - I think the group buy idea has merrit here, can you see what you do for all the fanatics, as there is demand and Abel can get quite a few systems from us.
