Views: F30 320i

Hi Guys

I would like opinions on the F30 320i Msport as I might consider letting the e90 330d go. I love the looks of the f30 more than anything else...

In terms of performance I don't expect it to equal the 330d but I never drive the 330d fast anyway.

I would just like some opinions form the guys that do own them. ito performance, comfort, common problems, fuel consumption etc.

Please help a brotha out....

Hey man. Why not look at the 320d rather? It will have good torque and better consumption than the 320i. I owned a F30 320d it was a good car, but stay away from the early model F30s ('12) get a '14 + model. :coolShake:

I have recently purchased a 2015 F30 320i Auto. I am really impressed with the car all round, power, comfort, consumption etc. However I moved up from a 320i E90 so coming from a 330d im not sure ,if you can understand that you cannot compare the two in terms of power and consumption as it will not be comparing apples with apples then I would say it is a Awesome car for what it is.

I must be honest and say I was terribly disappointed with my F30. The quality I expected just wasn't there. The engine sounded like a diesel. I mentioned it before somewhere that my wife's 2008 Jetta TFSi DSG feels so much quieter, smoother and better riding. The best part about the car was the fuel economy on a long run to Durban and that 8 speed box. In town it wasn't all that though. The infotainment system was really below par, the speakers were awful and the bluetooth system couldn't even save one touch dial favourites.

I skipped the E90 so have no idea of comparison, but I far preferred the quality of the E46 over the F30. It just feels built down to a price. Personally, I wouldn't touch one again. A pity really as I have owned E30, E36 and E46 before this.

Having owned an F30 320i and now a 335i, I have to say if you're accustomed to the 330d power, you will definitely miss it. If not, then you wont mind the 320i power on offer, its no slouch and gets by quite well if you ask me.
The F30 was the first 3 series I WANTED to own and it honestly gave me no problems at all. And it was actually more powerful than I thought it'd be so on the test drive I was quite shocked. It was between that and a GTI (yeah I know) and I never looked back.
They're lovely cars, my advice would be to do your homework and find a higher spec'd one because the base is awful. M Sport with 19" for sure, pdc, sunroof, hifi loudspeaker system and nav too!
It is in my opinion the most beautiful 3 series ever made (fine, i MIGHT be biased on that:roflol and I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

Thanks Guys for all the input...Yeah I am looking for a fully spec'd version with all the bells and whistles...to atleast make up for the downgrade in terms of engine performance...

I will put my car up for sale on the forum as soon as I find the F30 I really want...
Would like my car to go to another meticulous owner..

I have a F30 320 i M Sport and love her to bits.
I have no regrets to date and I agree, don't go for the base as everything is just better with the M Sport - looks, power, drive and all.
