Hi. I have an e36 325 and recently heard a ticking noise from the motor . I took it to a mechanic whose a retired bmw specialist and he told me that it's my vanos making the noise and he told me not to worry about it because it's common as my car is old.
Anyone else had this problem ? And any advice that anyone can give me as to whether I should worry or not ? Because the noise varies, it's loud sometimes then it's soft and sometimes it's not there at all.
