Just a question... If you have that much to lose if your mplan is cancelled, why are you looking to mod?
Everyone that modifies their cars knows that there are risks when it comes to mplan/warranty and nobody can guarantee you anything unless its mplan approved.
You are either prepared to take this risk or not... ?

Stick to a stock limiter and speed governor and you 99.99% safe if for some reason they have to scrutinize your car.

but on the other hand , one might as well keep the car stock if stock limiter is kept intact IMO. ///M relies highly on keeping the car in powerband. If powerband has increased limits so to say , it will make it a faster car. Well thats the way i understand it.

Both my V8 M3's had exhaust by Etienne van der Linde @van der Linde systems and without software as the anti tuning screws around big time with especially flash tunes via OBD port. 98 unleaded Race gas you can get from most after market accessories shops or race tracks, throw 20 litres in and with the exhaust and some kilometers for ecu adaption the car will behave very badly(faster).

Rev limiter is a waste of time as the car does not make power at 8000 plus rpm but good to shift at 8300rpm to maintain power in gears.

Air filters we tested as well and if no software adaption for air mass is done then the car in fact runs a slight bit slower than stock as we tested this with 3 M3's and the stock filter, van der Linde exhaust and race gas was quicker funny enough.

PM me if any one is interested in the full exhaust with carbon tips i removed from my M3 V8.
