There is no way in hell that will happen!!! With similar mods the power difference is very little and the 135 has got a big weight advantage!!!
But there is no point in compairing c*ck sizes, will anyone outthere have a race, ill do one up at reef coz a live here, but then the M3 guys are going to have plenty to say about alltitude...
Any takers???

Dude... Sherwin runs alongside my chip and induction 135i up here.
At the coast it would be murder she wrote.

Boet, no use arguing with the oke. He knows everything. I have seen E92 M3's with Xcede sw and exhaust mods outrun 135i's with the same mods. Especially when the speeds get higher. At the coast it will be even worse.

We have been there, seen it, got the T-shirt etc etc etc etc.

The thing you need to remember is the ///M has a higher redline, better "Racing" power curve, better gearing etc. Its not all about weight/power.

Hi Guys I have owned the 335 and the 135i @ alt they are very strong.

I had a 2008 E 92 M3 sold it because of the oil pump failure the engine was never the same.

While waiting for the new spec M3 I bought a new 135i auto.did everything. On top end ie. from 220 kms per hour the M is a monster.

Remember when the 135 engine is off its power band the M3 is still making power .They are two completely different engines.

I weight the 135i it tipped the scales at 1512 kgs and my new M weight in at 1620 kgs. The 2008 M3 without extras weight in at 1570 kgs.

After a few runs the 135i really suffers heat soak and then things change
timing pulls back and then the gaps are even bigger.

I personally prefer normally aspirated engines.

Well explained Pravesh.

@Nomercy....I am a harcore BMW turbo "kop" i believe that all BMW normally aspirated cars will be extinct in a few years...the upcoming M5 will be a proven case of this tendeny and direction within the BMW think-tank. However, to request an outright race against an M3 V8 to determine who is fastest and the "same mods" does not make sense. The two cars are very different and are also modded differently...they cannot be modded the same...power is also extracted differently unless the M goes turbo/supercharged...

I think your 135 will do very well against an M3 V8 in a straight line race but it is not a given that the 135 will win. Ya mods, driver skill and weather :) will all play a role. :pimp:

No need to prove which is faster...I saw a couple of e46 M's (in track-guise) at the Nurburgring and they were tearing the track apart...i don't think Twinz would have stood a chance in all those corners...the cars are just built differently...in a straight line i would have been able to compete.

Both cars have so much to admire; lets keep it like that and hunt down the Mercs and Audis...
