I saw this too. IMO, I don't think we will see the day that this can happen soon!

This is a huge business and it can't be killed overnight!

This is just crazy! Something is not in order here! Along with e-tolls, and the other crap they're trying to get away with, our beloved govt is looking for trouble again!

What else is new! :nonono:

damn im going to stock up on gearboxes and diffs...

That would be a bad idea because it'll become illegal to sell them... unless you want to be known as a "dealer". Hey bru, need a diff...? I know a guy... keep it on the down low though and make him an offer...

This will only make the car theft/strip business much larger...:nonono:

It will never pass into law, no judge will pass it and put a million people out of work...

Motivation of clamping down on chop shops and vehicle crime seems good though. We all know the situation with vehicle hi-jackings etc.

"Buys also said the ban would lead to people not being able to afford vehicle insurance as they would battle to source economic quotes for car parts."

Since when do people get economic quotes from scrap yard dealers?

I wonder what logic they applied when they came to this decision. I cannot see how this will help in anyway, all it will do is take people's jobs.

If the "sale" of such goods become illegal I suggest we return to the archaic ways of bartering for said goods.. :fencelook:

Ok, so we all know that unemployment is the one of root causes of crime in this country. So to address crime, the govt decides to cause more unemployment :nonono:
