Used BMW M Performance Exhuast - Transfer Cost ?

Hi Guys

BMW is telling that transfer of ownership on an M perf exhaust is R2200 and R4500 to install

Can any confirm if they had the same experience with regards to Transfer cost ?

Don't know about the transfer of ownership cost but the installation cost I can believe is more or less right at BMW depending if all the installation parts comes with from the previous car.

If your car is still under motorplan the short answer is...you have no choice but do it through BMW. If not you have options.

This is a first for me: If the part is a legit BMW part, then how on earth do they get away charging "change of ownership" for something that YOU purchased and which you are getting THEM to fit? Perhaps get a second opinion?

The labour cost is what it is, you have to do it at BMW - I get that... but the change of ownership seems like BS - it isn't even like a software licence or something of that sort.

I agree but it is what it is, the used exhaust was reaching new exhaust pricing levels so I just decided to go brand new and got a nice discount as well from the qgood old JSN guys. Custom exhausts are tempting but motor plan has become very valuable due to what we spend on these cars

first i heard of transfer of ownership.
I was told as long as its fitted by BMW then its registered on the system that a part was fitted.

I just paid labor at ABM and that was that...

All good though, seems to me BMW thumb sucks pricing nothing is constant

Car is now sorted, Brand New M Performance Exhaust was fitted by JSN(BMW Bryanston) . Motorplan still intact... Happy Days.
