Please help, why does the car not pick up a USB with MP3 tracks ?

Maybe try formatting the USB in FAT32.

It may also have a problem reading variable rate mp3's.

+1 on the FAT32 filesystem - also check the size of the USB - keep it to 4GB - mine freaks out with my 32/64GB full of music..
