urgent help required with 116i m kit

Hi. I am currently driving a 116i 2014 sport. I intend to fit in a M Performance Aerodynamic Front Bumper. Please provide me with steps as to accomplishing this as other sources have told me that i'm required to fit in an M Sport kit before I do this. I have encountered some confusion. please clarify.

I am mostly concerned with the front bumper. just need to know if I install an m kit first and then the aerodynamic kit, or just the aerodynamic kit

AFAIK the aero kits is an add on for the M Sport .. so u will need a M Sport bumper with the grills and possibly fogs .. i am not sure on the mounting of the bumper and how much that would differ under the car with ur covers etc. .. then u would need to check the air ducts for the brakes etc. .. its not just a matter of take ur bumper off, put new one and done ..

Went to auto umhlanga today to get a quote for it. Retro kit for the m bumper 6.6k. M bumper 11k prices exclude labour and paint. Looking at like 20k just to fit in a m sport bumper

Id say rather sell the car and buy an M-sport 116i. It will save you lots of time, money and headaches with bodge fitment and spraying of bumpers, and it would be a original M-sport.
remember its not just the bumpers that make the M sport, the Badging, the Suspension , the Roof lining and I think the Brakes as well.

Agreed. He should just trade in his car for an M Sport version otherwise its gonna be a waste of moola trying to replace all the bumpers and side skirts. You can even get a cheaper 118Msport demo, since a face-lift is coming in June - you will get your new car at a bargain.

Adding just the front spoiler without the lowered suspension and big wheels will make for an odd look.

Also, the money that you put into such a project can be kissed goodbye. It will not make your car more valuable when the time comes to trade it in. A VIN check will show that the car is not an original.

If you don't use original BMW spares you can kiss your MP goodbye as well. So it will not be cheap.

that includes getting the bumpers sprayed and fitted by a non BMW approved panel shop ..
we had a dent on the rear fender of an old e90, dent was pulled out, and paint cracked ..we just had that section touched up, and u could only see the blend from a certain angle with certain amount of light .. we had to get the paintwork redone by bmw panel shop to save MP ..
