My dad's turbo of his pre-lci e90 320d blew :thumbdo: he had the software done then the turbo blew... Now the problem is my dad received some advice from a few people and one especially prominent guy who is known for BMW and that is Achmat Achmat, and he advised my dad to remove it because the car will NOT be reliable with the software because the power is too much for the standard turbo etc, he says that the only way that the software will be reliable is if certain things are changed like bigger/better turbo and intercooler etc. I always believed running software on these standard e90 320d's were reliable? Can anyone shed some light on this matter or even experience because my dad is too scared he rather wants to remove the software. Cape Turbo is going to have the turbo reconditioned to brand new and once the turbo is fitted the car must then come back to them and it will then go on the computer and they will do a thorough check of the turbo and all pipes etc to see if it's perfect then they will boost the turbo themselves but he said it would be very safe and reliable though not as fast as the software was, and then also he gives a 6 month guarantee on it. Any info or feedback from people that is running software on their stock cars and how reliable it is would be appreciated :ty:
